Delays In Bride Name Change - Wedding Clergy Or Wedding Officiator

Bride Last Name Change Paperwork Delays - Once a marriage ceremony is "solemnized" (presided), the Wedding Clergy Or Wedding Officiator can delay bride last name change notification. How, you might ask?

The Wedding Clergy Or Wedding Officiator's Legal Responsibility - Once marriage is solemnized, the marriage license is to be "filed" by the Officiant. Once "filed", the state government's obligation is that of "recording" this same record of marriage. If the Marriage Officiator, does not "file" the license in a timely fashion (varies by state), then marriage license "recording" is delayed. If the "recording" is delayed, then the ability to obtain a "Certified Copy" or "Certified Copies" of the recorded marriage license is also delayed.

Moral Of The Story- A newly married couple should make certain that their marriage license is filed by their wedding officiator in a "timely" state prescribed fashion. The quicker the filing, hopefully, the quicker the recording.
